Success is solidified when it is shared.

Marcos believes that his achievements, recognition, and awards received throughout his athletic career are tools to positively impact others. He sees it as an important responsibility to use the attention or influence generated by his sports career to reach out to others in the interest of building a better society.

Marcos grew up understanding the importance of social work, motivated from a young age by his parents, school, and coach.

Marcos has taken his story through conferences for adolescents to hundreds of public and private educational institutions both within and outside his country, free of charge. He is currently a board member of Reef Check Dominican Republic and the Caribbean, an Ambassador for the non-profit organization “Sanar una Nación,” and also involved with “Ocean Recovery Alliance,” among other social collaboration projects aimed at children and environmental protection.
